13 Days until Christmas!
Are you ready for Christmas? I'm not! Between a new release, edits and my current WIP, I have little time. I have most of my shopping done thanks to Amazon! My daughter came over and helped me decorate so I can check that off my list. I have a few gifts still to purchase and then I have to plan a meal, buy groceries and cook. It's a wonderful time of year!

Free eBook copy of The Last Warrior
FREE!! The Last Warrior Free on Kindle through December 1st! Tara Montgomery is a witch and an imaginary lover haunts her dreams. Sensing her dream man is in danger she performs a spell to bring him to her. Little does she know her dream man is a Yahi warrior from 1866. Now, she has a near-naked and dying man on her floor in need of help. She had promised her grandmother that she would never use her powers to hurt anyone. She did her best to live by that creed. But it was okay to use powers to help people, right? The fact that he was stunning in face and form had nothing to do with her decision. Bringing him over one hundred years into the future probably wasn’t a good idea. But he was alive! Shot in the back, Lone Wolf envisions a beautiful spirit guide. Waking up, he finds his spirit guide is a white woman. From her way of dress, he surmises she is a white-eyes whore. He refuses to admit he understands and speaks the English language but still, they connect on a primal level. Lone Wolf knows of only one way to repay the white woman’s kindness. Since her words say she desires him and he hungers for her, he joins her in her bed and finds the other half of his soul. Tara is horrified to discover Lone Wolf is from the year 1866 and can understand every word she spoke but she refuses to return him to his time, to certain death. She wants a future with the sexy warrior but can he accept his life in the modern world and her darkest secret, that she is a witch? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08G1TBTPW/

I hate this weather!
Where I live, the temperature swings up then down and it's killing me. I have this head cold/allergy thing that is driving me crazy. I have three days off and I wanted to work on my WIP but I don't feel like it. UGH! Hopefully, I will be back at it soon.

Want to know a secret?
The other day I was watching television and The Battle of the Bulge was mentioned. We all know it took place during World War II. However, what no one knows is that when I was in high school, I wrote my own Battle of the Bulge, mini-story. It wasn't about the war! It was about 'boys'. Now, I am on a mission to see if I can find it. If I find it, I might post it. So, now you know I was writing smut in my teens.

I'm not dead! I just haven't blogged in 12 years.
Where to begin? Twelve years ago, I stopped writing and promoting for health and personal reasons. At the time, I thought it would be a short break. But it wasn't until a little over a year ago that I began re-releasing my books on Amazon. Since then, I have begun releasing a series of new books with Blushing Books. The Southern Quest MC Series, book 3 recently released. I'll post more about them soon. I have also signed contracts for new releases with Totally Bound and Pride Publishing. They are both part of the Totally Entwined Group. Those books will release in the spring and I will post more about them soon! I have a new website, Facebook, Instagram and other sites I have to update. It's a new beginning....a rebirth!

911
Today is the eighth anniversary and every year I remember what I was doing when I heard. At the time, I worked in a small office and we were all gathered in the lunch room watching what we thought was a tragic accident when we saw the second plane hit. I remember looking at a co-worker as realization that it was no accident dawned upon us.
Most people would tell you that my memory isn’t very good but my memories of that day are still very clear. The shock and horror at what will be remembered as one of the worst days in US history is still there. It is something I will never forget. It is something none of us should ever forget.

Summer Reading for Schools
School started here yesterday and my daughter had her first test on one of the books assigned for summer reading. I won't mention the titles but I will say the books were extremely boring and one of them was almost impossible to follow. My daughter read them because I made her but many of her friends didn't read their books. I'm wondering why can't they assign books that a teen might actually enjoy reading. Forcing students to read books that hold no appeal certainly won't teach them a love of books.
I was never assigned summer reading as a child but I read for the love of it. Very few, if any of my daughter's friends read for fun. If schools made better selections on assigned reading, I wondering would that change?
Have a wonderful weekend!
