Minus 2!

It’s unbelievably cold here today. This morning it was minus 2 and we’re expecting a high of 13. WooHoo!! That is extremely cold for my neck of the woods. It’s great weather to stay inside and read a hot book though or maybe to write one too.

Currently, I’m working on the sequel to Undercover Pleasure Droid and it’s keeping me warm. I also purchased a few new books that I intend to read if I meet my writing quota for the day. Next on my list to read is Caramel Kisses by TJ Michaels. It looks yummy.

Anyone have some Hot recommendations?

Enjoy your weekend. Keep safe and warm.

Before she can decide how to flex her independence, she’s being hunted by a domineering, if utterly desirable, vampire bent on binding her soul to his. Antonio awakens sensations and ignites responses she never experienced with her husband, but is physical pleasure reason enough to spend eternity at his side?

Sin of the Past by LA Day

Available at Cobblestone Press

Blurb:
The past has a way of catching up with you and sometimes you’re glad it does. Freshly divorced, Sara is skipping town and looking for adventure. However, she’s about to discover an erotic adventure with the one man she thought she’d lost forever.

Cein Creedon walked away from Sara when she chose another man over him. However, she’s free now and Cein has waited about as long as he can. It’s time he reminds her why he was nicknamed Walking Sin.

Excerpt:

Blood began to pump rapidly through her veins as she gazed at him. He looked like a man who would know how to please a woman. She looked at his large hands, with long, tapered fingers as he raised his fork to his mouth. His generously full lips parted, and his hand hesitated. She glanced up to meet his gaze across the room. Her breath caught in her throat. He had dark eyes, almost black, and they burned into her flesh.
An erotic film rolled through her mind. Stretched out naked on a bed, her body contorted in pleasure as a man feasted between her thighs. Her pussy spasmed in urgent release, and the man’s head rose. Those same black eyes gleamed at her from a face years younger.

Sara gasped as her panties dampened with familiar need. It couldn’t be, not after all these years. “Cein Creedon,” she whispered, her lips trembling.

Cein, better known as Walking Sin, back in town after all these years. Grabbing her purse, she threw a twenty on the table and ran from the restaurant. Sprinting to her car, she slammed the compact’s door and gunned the engine. She had to get away before she embarrassed herself beyond redemption. Small towns were known for gossip and ever since Mike left, she’d been hiding from the whispers of failure. She could only imagine the reaction if she spread herself on Cein’s table and asked for a repeat performance of the one unfinished night they’d shared. At that thought, her upper thigh muscles tightened, and her pussy gushed. Damn, she needed a man. A mindless fuck with an anonymous stranger ought to ease her lust. An annoying voice in her head doubted a stranger could ease the arousal Cein inspired all too easily.

Cein watched Sara run from the diner with an amused smile. She wouldn’t get very far. Standing, he stretched his legs. Sara had forgotten her package, but he wouldn’t mind delivering it. Peeling off a few bills, he dropped them on the table and collected Sara’s gift. He peeked under the glittery paper and raised a dark brow. A chuckle escaped his lips. It would be his pleasure to deliver the item. He knew exactly what he would do with it. Whistling, Cein headed for his bike. It was about time he taught Sara that the only place she could run was into his arms. The last time, he’d followed her wishes and left town. This time, she would bend to his will.

He hadn’t been able to help overhearing Sara and her friend’s conversation. If Sara was hungry for sex, he would be the man to feed her. He would teach her exactly what she had been missing all these years.

Reading is my passion!

If you set aside my passion for my family and my passion for writing, you have my passion for reading. I can’t remember how old I was when I discovered my passion for reading but it’s safe to say it was my first passion. I remember sneaking off with my mother’s romance novels and reading them. This was in the early 1970’s so they were mild. However, when my mother found out she wasn’t pleased. I’d have to say though that those early romance set me on the course I live today.

In my teens, I began reading Harlequin type books and then I discovered historicals. As long as it’s romance, I’ll read it. Although, these days I prefer paranormal and sci-fi erotic romance, I still read the occasional Harlequin.

My favorite author of all-times is Diana Palmer. I love her Long, Tall, Texan Series. I own almost all of her books and I often reread them.

Reading is my passion and it has gotten my through some rough times in my life. I can only hope that my stories have as profound affect on someone as books have had on my life.

Whatever passion inspires you enjoy it, live it.

Have a great weekend. I plan to enjoy a new book and a few old ones too.

TT 51

The Kentucky State Fair is in town and I thought I'd post about the things I enjoy at the fair.

1. People watching. Sitting around watching people can be very entertaining.
2. The music tents. Some of the performers are awesome.
3. The huge sow and the baby pigs. I love the baby pigs.
4. Petting the bunnies. Their fur is so soft.
5. Cool hand-made jewelry
6. The native crafts
7. The rides
8. Playing the games. You know they cheat but you can't stop playing.
9. The food-Elephant Ears
10. Corn on the cob cooked in the husk with tons of butter
11. Watching my hubby glare at the boys eyeing our daughter. (20 years ago he used to glare at them watching me. Where did the time go?)
12. Horse shows. I like the miniature horse shows.
13. Finding your car after a long, hot day and sitting down in the air conditioner. Your feet hurt, your shoes are sticky, you're hotter than hell. You had fun.

Back from Chicago

Morning, all,
Just got back from a week in Chicago and I’m glad to be home. Don’t get me wrong, I love the city but I was ready for the quiet life again. We took my almost fourteen y/o daughter and my fifteen y/o niece with us and they had a blast. They absolutely loved Michigan Ave. What teenage girl doesn’t want to shop all day? We had plans to go to zoos, museums, the aquarium but they just wanted to shop. We did manage to go to The Hancock Observatory and Navy Pier. The view was fabulous.

My dh is from the suburbs of Chicago so I’ve been in Chicago before so we left this trip up to the girls. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip and so did we. My dh didn’t complain once about all the shopping. He’s so sweet!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

TT #48

Yesterday was my anniversary. So today, I thought I’d list 13 things I’ve learned about men over the years. Some I’ve learned from my husband and some from all the men in my life.

1. GPS is the most awesome invention. Now we don’t have to ride around lost for hours.
2. Men do not Bitch. They cuss, swear, argue or fight but they do not bitch. So don’t tell them to quit bitching.
3. A ‘Love Injection’ can cure anything. I have been told that there is much evidence to back this up but I haven’t seen it myself.
4. Men think slapping your ass or pinching you is foreplay –sad but true.
5. Straight men think it is more natural for women to be lesbians than for men to be gay.
6. Within 2 minutes, a man can turn any conversation into a conversation about sex.
7. As men age, they lose the hair on their head and grow it everywhere else.
8. Most men enjoy playing with sex toys as long as they are not being replaced by one.
9. Men will watch sappy love stories if they think it will lead to sex.
10. When reading erotic romances, men skip through and only read the ‘good parts’. (sex & violence)
11. Men only know primary colors. They do not wear lilac, sea foam, teal, aqua etc.
12. If you are both sick, they are sicker. You have never been as sick as they are.
13. Men do not show weakness in front of other men. If they smash their thumb with a hammer or cut themselves on a piece of pipe they will say they are fine as finger, toe, limb, etc is still attached. They will not bitch about it until they get hoe. (Oops-I meant they won’t cuss about it. See #2.)

10,000 BC

Seems like I’ve been everywhere but home lately. I spent a week on vacation then returned to a sick MIL. She lives in the Chicago area so we spent the long weekend at her house. Thankfully, she is out of the hospital and hopefully on the road to recovery.

With all of the driving we’ve done in the last few weeks, I’m exhausted and way behind on my writing. Last night though, we took a little time to relax and rented 10,000 BC. It wasn’t a great movie but it wasn’t bad and Steven Strait as D’Leh was very hot in a caveman kind of way. My daughter loved the movie and my husband did manage to stay awake so it couldn’t be too bad.

We also rented The Bucket List, we plan to watch it tonight.
